The Juniors would like to thank the community for their support. Also, we would like to thank the custodial staff at Verona High School who is always such a pleasure to work with and the following local businesses who kindly donated items to make this event possible: Towne Scoop, Jonathan Balloons, Cedar Grove Dunkin Donuts, Bagelwich, Turtleback Zoo, Learning Express, Gymboree, Nail Club Spa 1, MS Fashions, Rock’n’Joes, Complete Martial Arts, Le Parc Place, Pals Cabin, Imagine That!, Broadway Comedy Club and Verona Yoga and Wellness.
The proceeds from this event support the “Adopt A Family” program in Verona. According to Connie Pifher, Verona’s Health and Social Services Program Coordinator, “This program serviced over 92 Verona families this past year. The Adopt a Family program aids those recovering from economic hardship due to death, divorce, illness or unemployment.” Clients are able to receive counseling and referrals to other related agencies. In addition, the program aims to provide children with a safe and positive environment during a difficult time. Most importantly, Pifher believes, “The program provides hope when there seems to be none.”
